Gulab Jamun Recipe with Milk Powder

Ingredients for Gulab Jamun

  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 9 tablespoon milk powder
  • Ghee for deep frying
  • 3-4 tablespoon baking soda
  • 3 ½ tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • ½ tablespoon semolina
  • 2 tablespoon milk

Ingredients for Sugar Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 2-3 crushed cardamom
  • 250gm sugar

Ingredients for Garnishing

  • Rose petals
  • Sliced pistachio
  • Silver sheets

Method to Cook

Add semolina powder, all-purpose flour, curd, baking soda, milk powder, and milk in a large bowl. Mix them properly

A soft will be prepared, cut the dough into equal small parts, and roll into small balls.

In another saucepan, add rose water, cardamom, water and dissolve the sugar in it. Stir all the mixed ingredients on medium heat until it turns into the thick liquid sugar syrup.

These balls must be smooth without any cracks or lines.

In a pan, heat the ghee. Check the temperature by adding a very small amount of dough to it.

Once the ghee is heated, add Gulab jamun in it. Make sure it should not be too hot; otherwise, your Gulab jamun gets brown and burn.

Fry the ball until it gets a golden color. All the time, keep stirring them gently.

Now add the prepared Gulab jamun into the hot sugar syrup. Wait for at least 30 minutes to get them moist from outside and inside.

Your Gulab Jamun is ready to serve. Set them in a bowl by garnishing the top with sliced pistachio, rose petals and a silver sheet.
